Accurate order processing in technical equipment collection and delivery is essential to the effective supply chain management, in both Relay’s UK and overseas operations.

 

Our regular investment in the latest technology, working closely our IT partner Mandata, has meant that we are consistently able to deliver the key elements of real time communication and visibility at every stage of each assignment we undertake on behalf of our customers. This technology allows us to provide and efficient and seamless service, covering our integrated warehousing, track & trace, POD and finance systems.

 

Whether our customers’ equipment is stored in our depots or in transit to its destination, all relevant information about these assets is readily and immediately available. This is all the more important because the technical equipment we handle is invariably valuable, fragile and essential to the end user.

 

Warehouse management


Relay’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) is in operation throughout our nationwide network of depots and has proved to be an invaluable tool to both increase productivity within our warehouses and enable stock fulfilment to be achieved seamlessly through the benefits of software compatibility and RF technology. 

 

The system provides for the highest levels of inventory accuracy and provides customers with online visibility of their stock levels through its web based reporting tools.

 

Booking and tracking


Our web based job booking allows for the rapid and secure transfer of information through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), facilitating an ordering process that eliminates paperwork and the inherent possibilities of errors that this can create.

 

To ensure maximum security and visibility throughout the technical equipment collection and delivery process, each customer consignment is allocated with a unique job number. This means that the status of every asset is traceable by Relay and our customers at all times.
